Rice
Rice is available in several grades, including Grade 1 (premium quality), Grade 2 (high-quality, but slightly less refined), and Grade 3 (lower quality with some broken grains). Grade 1 typically consists of whole, clean, and well-processed grains, while lower grades may contain broken grains or have slight imperfections. Specialty varieties like Basmati or Jasmine rice are usually classified based on their aroma, length, and texture.
Sugar
Sugar is classified by its degree of refinement. Grade A (or white refined sugar) is the most refined and purest form, often used in baking and candy making. Grade B (light brown sugar) contains molasses and has a slightly richer flavor. Grade C (dark brown sugar) contains more molasses and has a stronger flavor. Raw sugar (or muscovado) is less refined and retains more natural molasses content.

Cashew Nuts
Cashew nuts are typically graded based on size, quality, and appearance. W180 consists of whole, large cashew nuts, while W240 contains slightly broken but still high-quality nuts. W360 includes smaller or more irregularly shaped pieces, often used in processing or packaging for mixed nuts or confectionery.
Oil and Gas
In the oil and gas industry, products are graded based on their quality and characteristics. Crude oil is often classified by its API (American Petroleum Institute) gravity, with higher API values indicating lighter oils. The grading system for gasoline includes regular, mid-grade, and premium, depending on octane ratings. Natural gas is classified based on its composition, with dry natural gas having fewer impurities compared to wet natural gas, which contains more hydrocarbons.

Shea Butter
Shea butter is graded based on its purity and extraction method. Grade A is the highest quality, raw and unrefined, preserving the natural vitamins and nutrients. Grade B shea butter is refined and may have a lighter color and less potent aroma. Grade C is the lowest grade, often used in industrial applications, and may have undergone extensive processing.
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is graded according to its color and purity. Grade 1 is the highest quality, pure, and aromatic with a light yellow or pale cream color, ideal for use in chocolate production. Grade 2 cocoa butter may have a darker color and a slightly less refined taste. Grade 3 is typically used in cosmetic applications, where aroma and appearance may not be as critical.

Fertilizer
Fertilizers are classified into Grade 1 (premium quality) and Grade 2 (standard quality), based on the concentration and purity of nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Grade 1 fertilizers have higher nutrient content and are more suitable for commercial agricultural use, while Grade 2 fertilizers may be used for general or home gardening applications. Organic fertilizers may also be classified based on their nutrient content and consistency.
Soya Beans & Animal Feed
Soya beans for animal feed are generally graded into Grade 1 (high-quality beans with minimal defects), Grade 2 (slightly damaged or imperfect beans), and Grade 3 (beans with significant defects or contamination). Grade 1 soya beans are typically used in high-quality feed formulations for livestock, ensuring optimal protein content and digestibility.

Yellow Corn for Animal Feed
Yellow corn for animal feed is graded based on factors such as moisture content, kernel integrity, and level of contaminants. Grade 1 is the highest grade, consisting of clean, dry kernels with minimal broken or damaged grains. Grade 2 is slightly lower, with minor defects or higher moisture content, while Grade 3 may include more broken kernels or contamination.
Vegetable Oil
Vegetable oils are often graded based on their purity, refining process, and intended use. Grade A vegetable oil refers to the highest-quality oil, often produced through a cold-pressing or minimal-refining process. Grade B oil is typically produced through more extensive refining methods, which may reduce some of the oil’s natural nutrients and flavor. Grade C is usually highly refined and used in large-scale commercial cooking applications.

Scrap Metal
Scrap metal is classified into several grades based on its composition, cleanliness, and the amount of contamination. Grade 1 includes clean, high-quality metals such as unpainted steel, copper, and aluminum, often free from rust, oil, or other contaminants. Grade 2 metals might include slightly rusted or painted materials. Grade 3 includes mixed or contaminated metals, often lower in value and requiring additional processing to remove impurities.

Soybean
Soybeans are a versatile and highly nutritious legume, widely used in various food products, oil extraction, and animal feed. They are an excellent source of plant-based protein, essential amino acids, and healthy fats, making them a staple in both human and animal nutrition. Soybeans are classified into different grades based on their size, color, and overall quality.

Grade 1 soybeans are premium quality, with a high percentage of whole beans, minimal damage, and a clean appearance. These soybeans are ideal for food-grade applications, such as tofu, soy milk, and other soy-based products, offering the best nutritional value and consistent quality. Grade 2 soybeans may have slight imperfections, such as minor splits or discoloration, but they still offer good quality and are commonly used for oil extraction or animal feed.
